Influence of Molding Numbers on Developing Mathematical Competence Among Pre-School Learners in Mutha Zone, Kitui County, Kenya

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence molding numbers on developing mathematical competence among pre-school learners. guided by following objectives: establish type modeled learners and determine materials used modeling in Mutha Zone, Kitui County. target population comprised 60 teachers 450 A sample 18 head teachers, 150 participated study. This done through simple random sampling procedure where each respondent had equal chances being selected for Data were collected use questionnaires observation checklist. analysis using statistical package social sciences (SPSS) software. findings were; there is a statistically significant association between moldedand Mathematical learner (χ 2 (1, 4) = 41.429, p .000) that strong positive relationship, r (15) 0.646, p<0.05 material learner. recommendations Ministry Education must sensitize all pre- school teach mathematics modelings should provide plasticice their since it established most schools clay which making be dirty. parents can also encouraged buy plasticine so they continue at home.
